Eye surgeon since 1984.
Performed over 20,000 cataract surgeries – more than any other eye surgeon in Estonia.
The founder of modern cataract and vitreous surgery in Estonia.
Worked as an eye surgeon in Tallinn Central Hospital and Kajaani Central Hospital, Finland.
Since 1995,  runs a private practice in Nõmme – the first private eye practice in Estonia.

Graduated from Tartu University in 1984.
Residency in ocular disease at Tallinn Central Hospital in 1984–1985.
